Film Standard is coming soon to the App Store. It’s being built for iPhone and iPad running iOS or iPadOS 26 or later. This website will link to the App Store when it’s available.

Film Standard only sees the Photos library items you allow it to access. Open Settings in Film Standard and choose Manage Photos access to change your permission in iOS. You can also choose an individual photo without connecting your entire library. Sessions exclude screenshots and videos.

Sessions group photographs using capture time and available location metadata. Photos without location can still appear. If a photo’s date or location is missing or unexpected, its session may differ from the day you remember.

The default Reversible edits option stores an edit in Apple Photos while retaining the original. You can revert supported edits from Film Standard’s development history or through Photos. Create copies and Export files produce separate outputs. Keep a backup of important photographs.

On iOS 27 and later, reversible development starts with a still image and turns Live playback off; the original motion is preserved and can be developed afterward. On iOS 26, reversible development processes the still and motion together. Copy and file exports are still images.

You can import supported RAW files, including Apple ProRAW. Available camera capture formats depend on the device and lens. RAW support varies by camera and operating system; unsupported files report a decode error.

An original may need to download from iCloud Photos. Check your connection, Photos permission, and available storage, then retry. Interrupted batches keep per-photo progress so you can review the results and continue remaining work. Leaving the app may interrupt processing when iOS suspends it.

Film Standard develops on your device. Drafts, settings, and development history are stored locally. Saved Photos edits belong to your Photos library and may sync through your own iCloud Photos settings. Exported files stay wherever you choose to save them.

Saved photos can contain capture metadata, including location. Review the metadata and location options in the app you use to share them. Film Standard’s Save capture location setting controls geotagging for new photos captured with its camera; it does not remove location from existing photographs.
